Shaman's interests and training in Power Exchange Dynamics came through his own search and thirst for knowledge and acceptance of self. Through his own needs and desires, he has adopted practices for himself as a lifestyle choice. The path Shaman has chosen for himself and that has evolved over time is very much “Asian”, "Native American", and “Victorian” in foundational "roots" and style that flavor the form of Power Exchange Dynamics that he embraces. He is also a serious Sadist and practitioner in his preferred Fetishes and Kinks.

Establishing his Household, the House of Shaman, in July of 1999, was a challenging, but natural undertaking for him and his wife, property, wench, slave, and switch, Domina DeManda. Retreating to clearly define a path for his Household in October of 2001, brought them to where they are now. Shaman and Domina continue to evolve as a couple both in and out of the lifestyle. Together, they continue the wondrous journey, as they live, love, grow, and learn more of life’s lessons as individuals, a couple, and along with those they hold near and dear to them.

Their relationship will always include the terms and conditions that their children, family, and marital relationship be priority above all and anybody else. This means that insuring the protection, nurturing and wellbeing of their children and family, as well as the preserving the sanctity of their marriage vows is their primary focus. All in all, they can have any of their 3 children, as well as "vanilla" family and friends staying or visiting at the Household at any time. During such times, there is a rule that there be only age appropriate alternative lifestyle presence. As a training Household in an alternative lifestyle, having children and "vanilla" family/friends can prove to be challenging at times, but by no means impossible. It is a simply matter of common sense, respect and the commitment to protecting those who are not at an age or stage of life where it is appropriate for anything lifestyle oriented.
